Observed employee with a serving utensil in food preparation area banging the utensil on garbage can to discard left over food debris and placing back on cutting board, explained the importance of how to clean utensils, employee placed utensils in the dish room and cleaned and sanitized area.

Employee washed hands and changed gloves.
