  • [14-69-4] Ice buildup in reach-in freezer and/or walk-in freezer. Observed in both reach freezers in back kitchen area.
  • [36-22-4] Floor area(s) covered with standing water. Observed on floor in back hallway near back of display cooler.
  • [51-13-4] No Heimlich maneuver/choking sign posted. Emailed operator DBPR choking poster.
  • [35B-08-4] Fly sticky tape hanging over food/food preparation area/food-contact equipment. Observed red fly traps at the ends of front counter.
  • [32-17-4] Self-closing device on bathroom door disconnected/broken. Bathroom door not self closing.
  • [11-27-4] Establishment has no written procedures for employees to follow in response to a vomiting or diarrheal event where the vomit or diarrhea is discharged onto surfaces in the establishment. Emailed operator Clean-Up of Vomiting and Diarrheal Events (DBPR HR 5030-104) form. Establishment carries chemical (Chlorine) associated with the written procedures. Discussed printing it out.
  • [31A-11-4] Handwash sink used for purposes other than handwashing. Sanitizer backer stored inside hand sink at the end of front counter. Item removed and discussed with employee on duty.
  • [53A-01-7] Manager or person in charge lacking proof of food manager certification. Operators stated their certified food manager certificate was destroyed in the 2024 hurricanes. Discussed calling ServSafe to request the certificate. Konner Kelly, employee present during the inspection also holds a certified food manager certificate and tried to reset his password during the inspection and will call customer support to access his certificate.
  • [53B-13-5] Proof of required state approved employee training not available for some employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Observed employee training certificate for Olivia G. with the completion date of 5/24/2024 through SafeStaff FRLA. No other training was provided.
