Behind the Kitchen Door — a data-driven series from InspectFL

Wesley Chapel is one of the fastest-growing communities in Florida. Tucked into eastern Pasco County and part of the greater Tampa Bay metro, it’s gone from rural crossroads to a booming suburb packed with new housing developments, shopping centers, and — of course — restaurants.

But with all that growth comes an important question: how clean are the kitchens behind those shiny new storefronts? Here’s what the inspection grades reveal.

We pulled the state inspection data for all 151 restaurants in Wesley Chapel to find out.

Wesley Chapel at a Glance

47.7%
Grade A
72 restaurants
34.4%
Grade B
52 restaurants
17.2%
Grade C
26 restaurants
0.7%
Grade F
1 restaurant

The good news? Nearly half of Wesley Chapel restaurants earned an A grade — that’s close to the Pasco County average of 50.1%. The F rate of just 0.7% is remarkably low — only 1 restaurant out of 151 currently holds a failing grade. Newer restaurants with newer equipment and fresh buildouts likely help those numbers. Check our city rankings to see how Wesley Chapel compares to other Florida communities.

🏆 Wesley Chapel’s A-Grade Restaurants

With nearly half of Wesley Chapel restaurants earning an A grade, the area is performing well. But here’s the thing — many of these restaurants are new and have only had a single inspection on record. One clean inspection is a good start, not a proven track record.

The restaurants worth watching are the ones that consistently pass inspections over time. As Wesley Chapel’s dining scene matures and more inspection data accumulates, we’ll update this section with restaurants that have earned their reputation through repeated clean visits — not just a single passing grade.

😬 Wesley Chapel’s F-Graded Restaurants

Beyond recent inspections, 1 restaurant currently holds an F grade — meaning its weighted violation score across all severities — critical, major, and minor — pushed its score below 70 on our 0–100 scale.

Bluefin Sushi — 6034 Wesley Grove Blvd

  • Grade F (score 53.3) · Sushi and raw fish make violations especially concerning

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s previously held an F grade but has improved to a Grade C (score 75) — still not great, but out of F territory.

An F grade doesn’t mean a restaurant is dangerous right now — many violations get corrected quickly after inspection. But it does mean inspectors found significant issues, and it’s worth checking the details before your next visit.
