Orlando is the most visited city in the United States — over 74 million tourists a year, and nearly all of them eat out. But behind the theme park magic, what’s really going on in those restaurant kitchens?

We pulled the public inspection records for 3,968 restaurants across Orlando, covering nearly 1,500 inspections from DBPR. The results are eye-opening. New to our scoring? Learn how to read the grades.

By the Numbers

1,963
A Grade
1,061
B Grade
581
C Grade
363
F Grade

Only 49% of Orlando restaurants earned an A grade. That’s below the state average. And with 363 F-graded restaurants, Orlando has one of the highest failure counts of any city in Florida.

Orlando’s Lowest-Scoring Restaurants

These Orlando restaurants had the most violations across their inspections, earning some of the worst scores in the city. All five are now F-graded.

The International Drive Problem

I-Drive is where most Orlando tourists eat. It’s also where some of the worst inspection scores in the city are hiding.

Pao Gostoso Bakery

How Do the Famous Spots Stack Up?

Orlando has no shortage of well-known restaurants. Here’s how the big names scored:

4 Rivers BBQ
International Dr / Universal Blvd
100
Bahama Breeze (Airport)
Jeff Fuqua Blvd
99.5
Bahama Breeze (Oak Ridge)
5620 W Oak Ridge Rd
99
Seasons 52
7700 Sand Lake Rd
94
Hawkers Asian Street Food
1103 N Mills Ave
93.5
Pig Floyd's Urban Barbakoa
1326 N Mills Ave
93.5
87.3
Bonefish Grill (Central FL Pkwy)
6730 Central Florida Pkwy
74

4 Rivers BBQ leads the pack with a perfect 100. Both Bahama Breeze locations score well above 99. Seasons 52, Hawkers, and Pig Floyd’s earn solid B grades. Bonefish Grill has dropped to a C grade at 74, a notable decline.

And the two Cheesecake Factory locations:

The Cheesecake Factory (Regency)
11602 Regency Village Dr — Score: 68
F

Same brand, two locations, wildly different results. The Millenia Cheesecake Factory scores a respectable 87.3 (B grade), while the Regency Village location has plummeted to 68 — an F grade. That’s a dramatic gap for the same chain, and a stark reminder that brand name doesn’t guarantee food safety. We explored this further in chain vs. local: who’s really cleaner?

Orlando’s Cleanest Restaurants

These spots earned a perfect 100/100 — zero violations across all inspections:

Walkabout Pizza

Sushi Haru
Japanese/Sushi

Hotel/Resort restaurants rank third — no surprise in a city built on tourism. The theme parks and resorts have their own kitchens, and many of them score well (Disney properties in particular tend to keep things tight).

The Bottom Line

Orlando is a tale of two cities. The local favorites and upscale spots tend to score well — 4 Rivers and Bahama Breeze earn A grades, while Seasons 52, Hawkers, and Pig Floyd’s hold solid B’s. But even Bonefish Grill has slipped to a C. But the tourist corridor along International Drive still has problems, with several low-scoring restaurants serving millions of visitors who have no idea what’s happening in the kitchen.

363 F-graded restaurants in one city is alarming. That’s nearly 1 in 10. For the full Orange County picture, see our county breakdown.
